Come join us in at The University of Alabama
The 2019 Cultural Studies Graduate Conference itself is but one aspect of this experience. Hosted at The University of Alabama campus, this conference presents a unique opportunity to not only spend time at one of the most beautiful campuses in the U.S. but also a chance to meet and network with other emerging scholars from across multiple disciplines whose work may overlap wonderfully with your own.
We, the Planning Committee of the 2019 Cultural Studies Graduate Conference would also like to issue the following Land Acknowledgement:
“We wish to acknowledge that we gather as scholar-activists at the University of Alabama on the traditional land of the Alibamu, Chickasaw, Choctaw, Creek, Koasati, Mabila, and other Muskogean Peoples past and present, and honor with gratitude the land itself and the people who have stewarded it throughout the generations. This calls us to commit to continuing to learn how to be better stewards of the land we inhabit as well.”

Though hosted by a consortium of departments from the College of Arts and Sciences, we could not perform at the level that we do, as scholars and students, without the continued support of our administrators, faculty, and colleagues across The University of Alabama campus.
